The historic Griswold house at Marthasville.
The Marthasville Area Chamber of Commerce welcomes you to Marthasville, Missouri, one of the St. Louis area’s most treasured communities. It is a great place to live, work, and raise a family.
This quaint and richly historic town, proudly hailed as the last home of the great pioneer, Daniel Boone, was founded in 1817 by Dr. John Young of Kentucky and named after his wife, Martha. Today’s Marthasville is nestled beside the old Missouri-Kansas-Texas Railroad which is now the nationally popular Katy Trail State Park, less than a mile from the majestic Missouri River, and under an hour’s drive from St. Louis, famously known as “The Gateway to the West.”
Marthasville was named one of 2015’s Top Ten Safest and Most Peaceful Smaller Places to Live in Missouri by the online site, Only In Your State. Marthasville’s crime rate is much lower than both the Missouri and national average. There were only six reported crimes in 2013 and none of them were violent crimes.
Please consider making Marthasville your destination for a visit or permanent home for your family or business. You are always welcome in Marthasville.
